A Summer of Fun!
We have a great summer planned so far. Graham is now signed up for Vacation Bible School, and we have family trips planned to the North Carolina coast as well as our annual Cape Cod trip. Besides these trips, we’re ready to get going on grill and pool season here.
I think we might get crazy and buy a new grill this year. The one we have now was a wedding present from some friends; it’s sneaking up on 10 years of solid use. I’ve replaced the innards of it a few times, and slapped some black matte grill paint on it to keep it serviceable; I’d have to say it’s been a good friend.
What about you, loyal readers? Any fun plans coming up for the sunny season?

We’ve uploaded a ton of new pictures from the Easter holiday. A few of our new collections include a great visit with Great-Nana and Great-Papa, where they got to meet Reid in person. Both boys were good! We also have some fun pictures from Grandaddy’s and Sassy’s house, and a trip to Nana’s house during Easter.
There are also a few funny pictures of Reid and Graham at bath time — that’s a never ending source of entertainment. We put the guys together in the tub and they loved it. OK, well Graham loved it and Reid was just his normal self, heh heh. He’s still a bit young to get what’s going on:

We can still get away with dressing him up funny. He’s such a good baby!

The other week while I was traveling on business, Graham got into a little trouble at school for not listening to his teachers. No big deal, but we noticed that he also hasn’t been listening at home, and asking us to repeat ourselves quite a bit. We finally took him to see the ENT who put his first ear tubes in, just to check and see if everything was okay.
The doctor discovered that both of Graham’s ears are full of fluid, and it is very much affecting his hearing! Not only does he need a new set of tubes, but the doctor would like to remove his adenoids as well. We felt so badly that he got in trouble at school — and so did his teachers! Poor little guy just can’t hear what people are telling him.
The surgery is coming up in a couple of weeks. We’re much less nervous about this outpatient procedure compared to the first time he had tubes put in. That was very nerve-wracking! So we’ll let you know how it turns out…

When I came back from my trip, I brought a 12 inch tall Woody doll from Toy Story back for Graham. It has a pull string on his back which lets Woody say funny things from the movie, like `You’re my favorite deputy`, and `Yee-hah!` among other things.
Well, Graham was running around pulling the string, and then he said:
`There’s a STEAK in my boots!`
It took us awhile to figure out that Woody was saying, `There’s a snake in my boots`… Heh, heh…
